Globally Present, Locally Driven

These factors steer how we work to strengthen global agricultural markets. But, you don’t have to take our word for it. Learn more about individual projects below.

Farmer-to-Farmer Middle East North Africa

Improved agribusiness food safety and quality

Through the USAID-funded Farmer-to-Farmer program, we mobilized US-based technical volunteers to complete 271 assignments to increase food safety, access to finance and environmental sustainability.

In Egypt and Lebanon, we partnered with International Executive Service Corps (IESC) to ensure that safer foods reach markets. In Lebanon and Morocco, we partnered with IESC and the High Atlas Foundation to promote sustainable agriculture practices. We mobilized U.S.-based technical volunteers to complete 281 assignments to increase food safety, access to rural finance, and environmental sustainability.

Since 1987, we have sent more than 1,400 volunteers — including over 160 of our affiliate Land O’Lakes, Inc. staff and cooperative members — on Farmerto-Farmer (F2F) assignments in 27 countries. These volunteers deliver a range of agricultural expertise to host agribusinesses around the world.
