Globally Present, Locally Driven

Our roots stem from a private sector agribusiness in America’s heartland. Our projects, partnerships and local insights cross continents. Resilient Agricultural Market Activities Beira Corridor

Boosting farmer ag productivity and climate resilience

This project is being implemented in Mozambique’s Beira Corridor, in Manica and Sofala provinces. Its primary aim is to support local producers to increase agricultural productivity, profitability and resilience to irregular weather and declining soil fertility.

The program consists of four components: 1) Behavior Change Communication; 2) Model Family Farms; 3) Sustainable Extension Services; and 4) Strengthened Market Systems. Components 1 and 2 will increase demand by raising awareness and demonstrating effectiveness of technologies and practices, including resilient agricultural practices and water management and irrigation. Components 3 and 4 will support supply improvements, leading to increased availability, accessibility and affordability of inputs and improved private sector-led and community-based advisory services.

Through its Farmer-to-Farmer mechanism, RAMA-BC was able to field high impact international technical volunteers to support host agricultural institutions and continues to field local volunteers, to help build local capacity in education and research institutions.
