About the Modules
The teaching and learning materials in Fall Armyworm Mitigation: Learning Modules for Trainers of Smallholder Farmers in Africa are designed to facilitate the training of smallholder farmers throughout Africa on key approaches to the management of Fall Armyworm. Organized into seven Modules, the materials are intended to equip those who train or offer extension advice on crop protection, especially for FAW, to smallholder farmers. The Modules speak to the “Crop Protection Trainer” and impart essential concepts and advice that Trainers should teach to smallholders. These materials are available for free to view or download from the AgriTraining website. You will be asked to register one time to access the materials. As you review and use these materials, we encourage your feedback.

Each Module consists of recorded presentations to prepare Trainers, a Trainer’s Guide, Presentations, and accompanying training materials such as video clips, handouts, and illustrations. Some of these materials are in a file format that may be adapted and tailored by Trainers for use at field trainings (farm fields) or in other training settings (such as classroom) for smallholders. It is recommended that users start by viewing the recorded presentation(s) and Teaching Guide for a specific Module before consulting the other materials.
The materials included in Fall Armyworm Mitigation: Learning Modules for Trainers of Smallholder Farmers in Africa are available via the AgriTraining site:

Module 1: Responsible use of agrochemicals when combatting Fall Armyworm (FAW)
