Farmer-to-Farmer Program Helps Shape the Future of NGOs and SMEs in Egypt and Rwanda
In this video, watch how a USAID volunteer program has helped NGOs and SMEs boost local food systems in Egypt and Rwanda.
The U.S. volunteer expert, Katherine Cassidy, spent four weeks in Egypt and Rwanda training NGOs and SMEs on strategic management and leadership, under the USAID-funded Farmer-to-Farmer project. In Rwanda, she guided more than 100 women employees, from different SMEs, to increase productivity at their workplace. In Egypt, she trained small NGOs in 3 different governorates on establishing new business development units and receive funding from USAID and other significant donors. Ultimately, these efforts will help boost local food systems in both countries.
