A message from our Executive Director John Ellenberger
The need for global food security is more pressing than ever amid coronavirus: Our team is adapting the "how" of how we work
This was a quite a year…I mean, a couple weeks! Changes are rippling through our home/work lives at Land O'Lakes Venture37. A silver lining is that we see how we’re all part of the whole…the experiences of people in Georgia, Rwanda, Malawi, or Tanzania are similar to those living in (the other) Georgia, Rhode Island, Minnesota, or Texas. Crises can shorten distances quickly…and strengthen the spirit of community, too.

I’m encouraging all our team to take time to breathe deeply, meditate, take a walk, play with their kids, talk to their partner, go for a run…do whatever is right for them to help deal with these unsettling times.

Dealing with COVID-19 is more about the “how” and less about the “what” of what we do. We’re still working toward the same vision of Abundant Food, Unlimited Potential as we fulfill our purpose of Feeding Human Progress. That’s the “what”. What will change is the actions we take to advance our causes and the timing of those actions…the “how”.

I’m grateful for our team, our work, and how quickly we’re adapting the “how” when global food security is more important than ever. Let’s take care of one another and find new ways to connect in the coming weeks and months.
